Protector and Scoring System:

WT approved PSS (Daedo Generation 2) will be used.

The Organizing Committee will provide Protector and Scoring System (PSS) and the head protector to the participating contestants. Participating contestants are required to bring their own groin guards, mouthpieces, gloves, sensor socks, shin and forearm guards for their personal use. All competitors must use WT-approved equipment.

Instant Video Replay will be used for all courts.

Proof of membership by valid national Federation passport with WTE/WT membership. All contestants have to proof their age and nationality by presenting national ID or passport at weigh-in.

Those who are not recognized as adults by law in their own country must submit a passport or identification card together with a written consent (liability declaration) of their parents or lawful guardian accepting the participation and all parts of the official invitation.

All Athletes & Officials must hold a valid 2021 WT Global Licence and must be a member of a National Taekwondo Federation affiliated to the WT. Onsite registration for WT Global License is not possible. Registration must be done in advance.
Entry fees are obligated at all times. All participants of the 8th Ramus Sofia Open 2021 (officials & contestants) are responsible that they are registered and approved through their respective WT Member National Association at least 1 month before the tournament it is required for.

Method of competition: Single elimination tournament according to WT Competition Rules.

Age Groups:

Seniors: born in 2004 and older (WT G1 ranking)
Juniors: born in 2004, 2005, 2006
Cadets: born in 2007, 2008 and 2009
Children: born in 2010, 2011 and 2012

Athletes born in 2004 could compete either in Juniors and/or in Seniors


Seniors Male: -54kg, -58kg, -63kg, -68kg, -74kg, -80kg, -87kg, +87kg;
Seniors Female: -46kg, -49kg, -53kg, -57kg, -62kg, -67kg, -73kg, +73kg;
Juniors Male: -45kg, -48kg, -51kg, -55kg, -59kg, -63kg, -68kg, -73kg, -78kg, +78kg;
Junior Female: -42kg, -44kg, -46kg, -49kg, -52kg, -55kg, -59kg, -63kg, -68kg, +68 kg;
Cadets Male: -33kg, -37kg, -41kg, -45kg, -49kg, -53kg, -57kg, -61kg, -65kg, +65kg;
Cadets Female: -29kg, -33kg, -37kg, -41kg, -44kg, -47kg, -51kg, -55kg, -59kg, +59 kg;
Children Male and Female: -27kg, -30kg, -33kg, -36kg, -40kg, -44kg, -48kg, -52kg, -57kg, +57kg;


– Children and Cadets must hold at least 6th Gup;
– Juniors & Seniors must hold at least 2nd Gup.

Match duration:

– Seniors, Juniors and Cadets: 3×1,5 min (60 sec. break);
– Children: 2 x 1,5 min (60 sec. break)

The contests duration is subject to change by the Organizing Committee.


Upon decision of WT Technical Delegate, seeding will be between 25% and 100% based on the latest available WT Ranking List.

All competitors participate at their own risk. The online registration implies that the competitors agree to assume all responsibility for themselves and to release all other parties from any and all liability which may directly or indirectly result. The organizer is in no way responsible for any damage caused to a person or their belongings.


Medals for the places 1 to 3 individual results.
Team cups will be awarded to the three best teams in each division.
The team ranking is based on the following point system:
1. Every gold medal – 120 points;
2. Every silver medal – 50 points;
3. Every bronze medal – 20 points;
4. 1 point per each contestant who entered the competition area after passing the general weigh-in;
5. 1 point per each win (win by a bye included)


For every five contestants within the same team, one coach is granted free admission, with a maximum of four coaches. Every additional coach above the maximum allowed number should pay 30 euro admission. Coaches can enter the competition area only with proper sport shoes and proper tracksuit. Before weigh-in all coaches must receive the credentials of their teams. Weigh-in and entry to the sports hall will be possible only with credential for the event. The trainers will not be allowed to the competition area To register a Doctor – Proof of Medical Doctor/Physio therapist certificate in English.


Only the official coach is allowed to protest, immediately after the end of the contest. An amount of € 100 (Euro) will have to be paid for each protest. The decision of the referee chairman is final.

No audience will be allowed due to COVID-19 restrictions and overall safety measures.
